THE G!RL WITH THE DRAGONFLY DREAMS

34 x 34 | Acrylic on Canvas | 2019 | Created for We Rise Art Exhibition in Los Angeles, CA designed to bring awareness to subjects surrounding global mental health crisis. This painting speaks to the epidemic of African American children suffering from mental health illnesses. With suicide amongst African American children on the rise, this painting uses the symbolism and spirit of the dragonfly as a representation of transformation, joy-fullness, and hope.
